I Can't Wait For This!

As a videographer I am always looking for that “film look”! So much so that I bought a Red Rock Micro (pictured below) that attatches to the front of my HDV camera. It uses 35mm still camera lenses to add shallow depth of field to my shots! I love it but it is a big and heavy contraption to carry around.

I always wondered why DSLR’s never added a movie feature to their cameras, I mean point-and-shoot cameras have had that option for years. Well the wait is finally over thanks to Nikon.

The Nikon D-90 comes out next week offering the D-Movie Mode. Just look at the difference shooting video with a shallow depth of field adds to your shots.
